Project Management

IT System Integration Organization (Global Client) – Project Governance

Our consultant provided specialized project management practices knowledge for the development of overall project governance structure with clearly defined roles addressing various management levels, from tip to toe, of the project. Using project review, internal consultation, group sessions, one-on-one meetings, lessons from the previous structure, and research of various case studies, we defined the new governance structure and helped project integration with all knowledge areas.

We recommended a governance structure that improved engagement of stakeholder, streamlined the new project team structure, fostered communication among technical teams, and improved overall team efficiency resulting in improved delivery effectiveness.

Public Safety – Municipal Government

Our consultant engaged to manage a project in public safety to comply with the mandate of a municipal government initiative under the safe city program. This project required a comprehensive elicitation of requirements, development of the business case with options analysis, project management plan along with other ancillary project management artifacts. Through comprehensive communication with multi-organizations stakeholders, managing various vendors, multi-department engagements, and internal team management, the project was successfully completed.

Virtual Payment System, CRM and ERP integration

A comprehensive program management in municipal transit to implement a virtual payment system and integrate it with internal CRM, centralized dispatch, and ERP. Our consultant managed an overall implementation of a large-scale transformation initiative that covered various aspects within the organization’s business process.  Various regulatory compliance were utilized complementing both the online payment security and personal privacy along with accessibility standards. The client was able to gain an advantage by providing cost-effective services with a runtime live response system and integrated financial reconciliation.

Mobile Computing Devices in local transit – Municipal Government 

Our consultant helped implement mobile computing devices to meet the need of citizens with special needs. A highly integrated solution required commissioning and integration of mobile computing devices. The implementation of the solution required intensive collaboration with major multiparty stakeholders along with a few vendors. The solution helped the organization to have better control of their contracts with the service providers as well as detailed dispatch management including trips and travel management, passenger management, safety, and dispatch management.

Staff Scheduling for a local Hospital

Engaged a local hospital to streamline the employee scheduling system from manual to automatic, and integrated it with overall HRIS (Human Resource Implementation System). The organization was able to gain efficiency in terms of planning the master employee schedule.

eTimesheet Development

eTimesheet is an online timesheet for recruitment and employee agencies. The full cycle of this project included analysis and requirement, and using Agile Approach, the application was developed using a virtual team and the delivery was made.

CRM Framework

Consultant assisted a large organization for the development and customization of open source CRM solution. The full cycle project management was performed in terms of delivery of the solution including the development of CRM framework, business analysis, project execution and control and contract negotiation for ongoing support with vendors.

Private Sector – Online Applications Development

Consultant was brought onboard to work on various online applications for small and medium businesses across various verticals. Clients were able to create and improve their digital presence. Consultant devised success criteria and plans for continuous support.

Program Management

IT Modernization Program

Consultant was engaged in an IT modernization program. A large defense organization had a requirement for IT solutions to support the business needs of 5000 users across the IT infrastructure to increase the efficiency of business operational activities. This program included large-scale deployment of data centers, commissioning of a few backhauls for wireless telecom connectivity, deployment of office application systems, and change management and training.

Improved in overall work efficiency and operational and work delivery, cutting the communication cost and adding value and whilst bring the organization up to par with the standards.

E-Government Modernization and Transformation Program  

This program is part of the large scale E-Gov Modernization and Transformation Strategic Initiative taken on by the Federal Government.

A joint initiative by four large-scale Federal Government organization for the development of a public service portal, automation and integrating the internal system. The program delivery included projects for gathering requirements, developing and integrating the application with the existing ERP, application development , integration and testing, hardware deployment and integration with centralized data centers, data migration, and change management and users training.   The program provided value to the public for information and public services access as well as improved the overall workflow efficiency

Wireless Telephony Deployment Program

A large telecommunication services provided expressed interest in deploying Broadband Wireless Access with backhaul network implementation dispersed across numerous regions to leverage an early market entry. This time sensitive delivery included major deliverables such as network planning, site surveys, and selection, installation of base terminal stations, subscriber units and integration of the core network, testing, and commissioning of sites and training. Our consultant not only managed various teams scattered across various regions, but the delivery was performed well ahead of time, providing a market competitive advantage. Apart from managing the project, there were facets of supply and logistics management. It was performed all due to the intensive and upfront project planning, consistent and regular communication and buy in from the project sponsors.

Public Sector – Project Governance and Team Restructuring

Our consultant reviewed the overall governance structure and process for the development of a project team. With a complete review of the process, the consultant identified gaps in the process of selecting the team, as well as assigning them tasks. Various detailed sessions were facilitated to ascertain the activities and right roles to meet the project’s needs, and ultimately the consultant made sure the right work was assigned to the right role, with and put in place a comprehensive progress feedback mechanism. We revised the project team structure. The new structure improved the overall delivery of the project.

Public Sector Program Management

Consultant was hired to work on a large-scale program management project in the field of public safety and security. The nationwide program entailed implementation of a special line of communication to address the requirement of public safety. Consultant devised a program management plan, a program grid and a program integration plan.

 IT System Integration Organization (Global Client) – PMO Establishment

Our consultant worked towards the establishment of enterprise centralized project management office (PMO) to meet the strategic objectives and operational objectives of the organizations. We performed a comprehensive organizational environmental assessment with a diagnostic approach by reviewing hierarchy, structure and culture. Our consultant developed the PMO charter for the board approval. Each and every work process was  reviewed and aligned with best practices of the project management, developed a new project management delivery method, developed tools and process, and defined PMO governance to support the delivery. Our consultant added value by regrouping the project inventory and organizational assets and knowledge, and assisted in internal and external hiring of the PMO staff and subsequently trained them.

Private Sector Client – Process review of the delivery management

Our consultant reviewed overall delivery mechanism of the departmental project management unit, recommended enhancements in the project delivery process, and updated tools and template for applied project management. Using a phased approach, proper review and an approval process were put in place based on the phased gate methodology from project intake to project closure.

PMO Project Matrix

Consultant was engaged to work with a departmental project management team for the development of an executive status reporting matrix. Gathered overall requirements for reporting to the top management and aligned the feedback process vis-à-vis communication from project teams and provided consolidated story board matrices with short and long form display.

PMO Tools and |Templates Development

Our consultant developed a set of tools and tempaltes for a local organization to help function organizations to deliver using the standard project magnement workflow.

Public Sector – Implementation Process Review – Post Project Audit

Consultant was hired to review the implementation of a large-scale project that exceeded the budget and could not meet the timeline. A comprehensive plan was put in place to perform a review of all the project artifacts, delay points, governance and executive support, team structure, project timeline and other associated items. Stakeholders were interviewed. Team’s performance was reviewed. We provided the final lesson learned report and revamped the complete project intake and management process.

Not-for-Profit – Project Process Establishment – IT

Consultant was engaged to work with an organization’s IT department to create the project process establishment. Initial assessment was conducted including organizations strategy, organizational structure and culture. A new structure was proposed within the IT department to undertake IT projects. A review report and lesson learned was made after a year and, and the non-profit experienced substantial improvement in the delivery of IT Projects.

Business Analysis

Online Application to provide reviews about Cities

Comprehensive business analysis was performed for a custom build online application about providing review of cities. Our consultant performed a complete business analysis and provided business requirement specifications, functional and non-functional specifications, use cases diagram and wireframe for both backend and frontend development work.

Mobile App for Coffee Group Site

Conducted comprehensive requirement analysis for a mobile app for placing orders for groups, including features of delivery, both pick up and drop off. Deliverables included initial research for the requirement elicitation, users’ stories, functional requirements, and business specifications.

Private Sector – Business Analysis Application  

Consultant worked with a team of subject matter experts and performed a complete business analysis for a new app designed to cater to the business’ changing needs. Requirements were gathered, detailed design requirements elicited, and functional specs and use cases were produced.
